Future Oils Ltd, Slieve Rue, Riverstick, Co. Cork, Ireland

Future Oils multifuel burners will burn nearly all animal, vegetable, waste and mineral oil. These are a cheaper alternative to other multifuel burners on the market but maintain high quality through European CE certification and can be fitted to any warm air heater or hot water boiler. Our burners will also accept gas oil, kerosene and even waste engine oil but we are keen to promote the use of cheaper biofuels which are cleaner, locally available and can be delivered to your door. Due to the higher density of vegetable oil the volumetric content of heat value is similar to regular heating oil. Combustion of these fuels result in a 55% decrease of carbon monoxide making it a much safer alternative to mineral oil.

The use of biofuels will help reduce the harmful effects of climate change as these fuels are carbon neutral. Our multifuel burners are available from €2050 and all products come with a 12 month warranty as standard.

Biofuels must be heated before they can be used in a diesel engine due to their higher viscosity. A heat exchanger is a very simple and cost effective way to reduce viscosity and will facilitate a higher efficiency of combustion throughout the engine giving more power and better mileage from any biofuel. We also offer an inline glow plug / hot water heater to aid cold starting & assist in the smooth running of your vegetable oil powered vehicle. The unit is designed to heat up electrically from cold to a maximum of 90 degrees. After initial start up and when the engine reaches operating temperature, the hot water takes over the heating, giving you constant heat throughout the fuel line while saving electricity. The unit is fully automatic & is controlled by a thermal sensor & relay and will switch itself on at 70 degrees & off at 90 degrees as it requires. The unit fits neatly into the fuel line of your vehicle & is compatible with all 8 & 10mm fuel lines. The hot water is supplied via the header tank return system. It is supplied with all parts necessary to install including a wiring diagram & the unit is already pre-assembled for you. Both units are currently priced from €80 each.

We also supply low mileage multifuel vehicles capable of running on fresh or recycled vegetable oil.

If you are thinking about changing your car one of our technical advisors will be happy to help you select a suitable vehicle for conversion.

Rapeseed oil is currently available for 80 cents a litre with the option of home delivery. All our vehicles also accept diesel/bio-diesel should you run low on fuel during a journey. We welcome the governments new promise to cut the rate of road tax for any car using biofuel.

Bosch/Japanese fuel pumps are better suited to one tank veg oil conversions. Vehicles with Lucas/CAV pumps should be avoided.
