Biofuels must be heated before they can be used in a diesel engine due to their higher viscosity. A heat exchanger is a very simple and cost effective way to reduce viscosity and will facilitate a higher efficiency of combustion throughout the engine giving more power and better mileage from any biofuel.
Our 12V inline fuel heater will aid cold starting and assist in the smooth running of your vegetable oil powered vehicle. The unit is designed to heat up electrically from cold to a maximum of 90 degrees. After initial start up and when the engine reaches operating temperature, the hot water takes over the heating, giving you constant heat throughout the fuel line while saving electricity.
The unit is fully automatic & is controlled by a thermal sensor & relay and will switch itself on at 70 degrees & off at 90 degrees as it requires. The unit fits neatly into the fuel line of your vehicle & is compatible with all 8 & 10mm fuel lines.The hot water is supplied via the header tank return system. It is supplied with all parts necessary to install including a wiring diagram & the unit is already pre-assembled for you. Both units are currently priced from €80 each.
